Historical places or monument is an official design place essential pieces of history are present for their historical significance. Most historical sites protected by local law, and a few declared as national park status. Usually, these places are under the United States government’s protection, and significant private landowners own these lands. These places could be monuments to great battles fought for freedom, influential figures who have made significant contributions towards the development of a nation, etc. Several world-famous attractions also exist on these lands.

Historical Places Agra

Agra is a world-famous historical place, and tourists visit this place from across the world to pay their respects to the century-old heritage. The Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, can be visited at Agra from anywhere in the world. It built over a centuries-old structure of Jodhpur. It is popular among tourists as it knows to be the home of Emperor Shah Jahan. During the rule of Shah Jahan, Agra use as his summer capital, and his summer celebrations were equally joyous. Today, it is the home of the magnificent Taj Mahal.

Historical Places Jaipur

Jaipur is another of India’s most famous historical places where tourists pay tribute to the glorious Mughal period. It is home to the city’s red fort and palaces. Several UNESCO world-class attractions in Jaipur, including the Amber Fort, Fatehpur Sikri, Samode Palace, City Palace, Junagarh Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace, Junagarh Fort, and Jaswant Thada Memorial.

The Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Old Fort, and Humayun’s Tomb are famous historical places of Delhi. Khajuraho is well known for the erotic temples built by the Hindu saints.

In the state of Karnataka, there are several important historical places and monuments as well. Bangalore and Kochi are home to several temples of various denominations. Mysore, Goa, Karnataka are home to some temples of Keralites. The temples of Karnataka are witness to the influence of Dutch and Portuguese traders who established their business in the region.


Jodhpur is one of the most visited cities of Rajasthan. It is also one of the oldest cities of India, built by the great emperor Ashoka.
